About this role
Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Senior Supervising Social Worker to join its client’s Fostering team based in Preston.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will:
- Supervise and support foster parents, including induction and TSDS portfolio completion.
- Conduct Form F assessments and regular support visits.
- Facilitate monthly reflective sessions to enhance carers’ understanding of child development.
- Work directly with children to promote stability and positive outcomes.
- Identify training needs and develop Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
- Conduct unannounced visits, health & safety checks, and risk assessments.
- Present Annual Reviews to the Faith Fostering Panel.
- Prepare reports for LAC reviews and placement stability meetings.
- Respond to referrals, match placements, and liaise with local authorities.
- Participate in recruitment campaigns and assess foster carers’ ongoing suitability.
- Attend monthly reflective supervision with the Registered Manager.
- Ensure full compliance with safeguarding legislation and agency policies.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have:
- A degree in Social Work (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
- Registration with Social Work England (SWE)
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience (preferred)
- Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
- Knowledge of systemic and social learning theories
- Proficiency in digital record-keeping and documentation
