Founding Engineer

About the Role

We're an early-stage B2B SaaS company building an AI-powered integration platform for the supply chain and logistics industry — helping businesses in the physical economy connect their systems (ERP, WMS, OMS, TMS, EDI, and more) in hours instead of months. We're backed by paying enterprise customers and moving fast.

We're looking for our first engineering hire — a Founding Engineer who will own core systems end-to-end, set the engineering foundation, and work hand-in-hand with the founders to shape the product and the team as we scale.

What You'll Do

• Own the agent platform, infrastructure, and integrations runtime end-to-end.

• Set the engineering patterns and standards that every future hire will build upon.

• Work directly with the founders — your opinion and technical leadership matter as much as your code.

• Ship production-ready, reliable, and observable systems continuously.

• Drive end-to-end feature development across frontend, backend, and infrastructure with measurable customer impact.

What We're Looking For

Dealbreakers

• 3+ years of software engineering experience in fast-paced environments (startup experience strongly preferred).

• Proficiency in TypeScript and React for frontend; Node.js for backend.

Required

• Demonstrated ability to build something 0-to-1 — whether at an early-stage startup or through a serious side project.

• Experience integrating or building workflows around large language models (LLMs) and agent-based platforms.

• Experience with AWS for cloud infrastructure and PostgreSQL for data storage.

• Solid grasp of observability, monitoring, tracing, and reliable retry/queuing patterns in distributed systems.

• Track record of owning full-stack feature development (frontend → backend → infra) with clear customer impact.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Bun, Effect-TS, or Kubernetes.

• Background in supply chain, logistics, or enterprise integration systems.

• Experience at high-calibre engineering organizations (e.g. FAANG, top-tier startups).

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $150,000 – $250,000 USD annually (depending on experience)

• Early equity in a fast-moving, well-positioned startup

• Visa sponsorship available

This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA. Remote work is not available for this position.
