Founding GTM Engineer

Weave HQOn-siteFull-time

AI Summary

Founding GTM Engineer helps shape and automate the sales-to-engineering enablement workflow, build demos and reference architectures, and create scalable processes to accelerate growth at a seed-stage startup.

About this role

About Weave

At Weave, we’re building the best software for the best engineering teams to move faster, and we want to hire exceptional sales talent to help us get our product in their hands.

Trusted by 150+ customers such as Robinhood, Rho, PostHog and Browserbase, we’ve delivered consistent double-digit month-over-month revenue growth since May 2025 and are looking to accelerate our growth.

We’ve raised a $4.2M seed round and are backed by Moonfire, Burst capital and Y Combinator (W25).

This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor and shape how millions of engineers and leaders understand engineering work.

You'll be working directly with me (Adam), the CEO. Before I was CEO of Weave I scaled multiple sales teams from $0-30M in ARR. I want to give you all the support and growth opportunities in this role that I got when I went through it.

You’ll also be working directly with Andrew, the CTO. Andrew runs engineering at Weave, and before that worked as the founding engineer at Causal.

Responsibilities

  • Build pipeline: do whatever it takes across systems, sales and marketing to build pipeline.

  • Partner closely with founders, engineers, and product to automate as much of the sales and onboarding process as possible.

  • Create technical enablement assets: Build demos, reference architectures, integration guides, and technical documentation that accelerate sales cycles

  • Help refine outbound, pricing, expansion, and playbooks. We’re inventing them as we go

  • Be flexible: some days you’ll be hunting new logos, others you’ll be designing a new internal system

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Software engineering background. You've written production code and understand modern development workflows, CI/CD, and the SDLC deeply

  • Exceptional communication skills. You can explain complex technical concepts to both engineers and executives, adapting your message to the audience

  • Self-motivated, comfortable in ambiguity, and wired for speed. Willing to build processes from scratch and do what's needed

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience selling developer tools, AI/ML platforms, or infrastructure software

  • Prior experience at an early-stage startup (Seed to Series C) where you built the solutions engineering function

  • Background as a founder, early operator, or first technical hire

Why Join

  • Competitive pay + early equity

  • Health/vision/dental insurance covered

  • Free lunch/dinners/snacks

  • Yearly team offsite with regular team events
