About this role
Founding Strategic SDR
Most SDR jobs teach you how to book meetings.
This one will teach you how to build a company.
Gravity is building the advertising infrastructure for the AI era.
As millions of people shift from Google to ChatGPT and other AI platforms, the way businesses reach customers is changing.
We're building the platform that helps brands and agencies advertise in this new world.
We're looking for one exceptional person to help build our outbound engine from the ground up.
This isn't a traditional SDR role.
You won't inherit someone else's playbook.
You'll help build it.
You'll work directly with company leadership to decide which companies we should partner with, figure out how to reach them, and help shape how Gravity grows.
If we hand you a list of twenty companies, your job is to figure out how to turn those companies into customers.
We care far more about results than activity.
What you'll do here
Research and break into strategic advertiser accounts.
Identify decision-makers across growth, performance marketing, partnerships, and advertising.
Build thoughtful outbound campaigns across email, phone, LinkedIn, referrals, events, and whatever else works.
Book qualified meetings with companies that belong on Gravity.
Constantly test new messaging, new channels, and new ideas.
Keep our CRM organized and our pipeline healthy.
Help build the outbound playbook that future sales hires will use.
Make decisions quickly without waiting for someone else to tell you what to do.
What you bring to the table
You hate losing.
You move quickly.
You don't wait for permission.
You ask great questions.
You're naturally curious.
You communicate exceptionally well.
You're resourceful.
You're comfortable hearing "no."
You care more about results than looking busy.
You take ownership.
You have a severe bullshit allergy.
You're excited by AI and where it's headed.
You want to build something, not simply work somewhere.
Experience selling SaaS, advertising, agencies, developer tools, or technology is a bonus, but it isn't what gets you hired.
We care far more about how you think, how quickly you learn, and how much ownership you're willing to take.
What working at Gravity is actually like
Let's be upfront.
This isn't a comfortable 9-to-5.
We're an early-stage company.
Things move quickly.
Priorities change.
Sometimes you'll solve problems nobody has solved before.
Sometimes you'll work longer than you planned because that's what building a company requires.
Nobody here is counting hours.
We're focused on building something exceptional.
We expect a lot from each other.
The people who thrive here love ownership.
They love accountability.
They love moving fast.
They care about winning.
If that excites you, you'll probably love working here.
If it doesn't, that's okay.
This probably isn't the right place for you.
More about Gravity
We're still incredibly early.
That means every single hire matters.
You'll work directly with leadership.
Your ideas won't disappear into layers of management.
You'll have a real voice in how we build our outbound engine.
You'll help influence our go-to-market strategy.
You'll help build systems that future employees inherit.
Most people spend years trying to earn this level of responsibility.
Here, you'll have it from day one.
We're building one of the first advertising platforms designed specifically for the AI era.
We believe AI will become one of the biggest shifts in digital advertising over the next decade.
If we're right, you'll be one of the earliest people helping build it.
This probably isn't for you if...
You're looking for an easy SDR job.
You need someone checking in on you every hour.
You prefer process over ownership.
You're uncomfortable with accountability.
You want predictable days.
You're just looking for another sales job.
If that's what you're after, you'll probably be happier somewhere else.
Compensation
$80,000 USD base salary
$60,000–$70,000 in variable compensation at target
$140,000–$150,000 expected on-target earnings
Equity
We believe exceptional people deserve exceptional opportunities.
We also expect exceptional performance.
The exact equity package and commission structure will be discussed during the interview process.
This role may be for you if...
You want to build rather than maintain.
You want direct responsibility early in your career.
You want to work alongside ambitious people who genuinely care about winning.
You care more about results than appearances.
You want meaningful equity in something you're helping create.
You believe the best work of your career is still ahead of you.
If reading this gets you excited instead of intimidated, we'd love to hear from you.
