About the Position:
- Full Time- Monday to Friday 2PM to 10PM with potential overtime
- 17.5% Shift loading in accordance with Peter Cochrane Management EA 2018
- 13.5% Superannuation
Cochrane’s Transport is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Freight Handler to join our team at our Gillman depot on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading freight from trucks and trailers
- Sorting and staging freight for dispatch
- Operating pallet jacks and forklifts (desirable)
- Ensuring freight is handled safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
About You:
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks and lift heavy items
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Forklift license (preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience in freight handling or warehousing (advantageous)
