F.T. Farfan (Jamaica) Limited - Merchandiser

We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to join the team at F.T. Farfan (Jamaica) Limited for the position outlined below.

JOB PURPOSE
This position requires the individual to provide superior customer service, complete sales and other merchandise transactions according to company procedures

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Visit assigned outlets to pack and replenish products according to route listing.
• Maintain the Company’s products and brands in the best location so as to ensure visibility, consumer traffic flow, and convenience.
• Use and secure POP material effectively and efficiently visible to the public.
• Good housekeeping so as to ensure the selling spaces for products are clean and tidy; this includes re-papering shelves with corresponding brand shelf paper.
• Report stock outs to Supervisor and Sales Representative and follow up on orders.
• Ensure correct retail pricing on the shelves including “specials”.
• Assist the Sales Representative as necessary in terms of placing supplementary orders, ensuring expiring goods are noted and liquidated.
• Support the promotion of the Company’s brands through continuous updating of product knowledge.
• Give trade feedback including store issues and brand updates.
• Follow directives given by Merchandising Manager/Supervisor/Team Lead/Brand Manager/ Sales Manager.
• Conducts routine housekeeping tasks within the store.
• Maintain strong relationships with sales representatives and dealers as applicable.
• Demonstrates active adherence to all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, while also promoting HSE awareness.
• Performs other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of five (5) CXC/CSEC O’Level passes inclusive of English Language and Mathematics.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in customer service or a similar position

KEY COMPETENCIES
• Must have good written and oral and interpersonal skills.
• Team Oriented.
• The ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimum supervision.
• Should be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• A keen sense of observation and alertness

Please note: This is a full-time, on-site position based in Jamaica. Successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in Jamaica. Any relocation costs associated with accepting this position will be the sole responsibility of the successful candidate.
