Full-Time Assistant Manager

The assistant manager assists the owner in all facets of the company, including but not limited to sales, product, and general store operations. A thorough knowledge of the retail industry is required; and familiarity with the consignment/resale business model is strongly preferred.

Job Requirements...

- Lead and execute excellence to company standards (i.e. proper employee management, buying techniques, customer service experience, etc.).

- Achieve daily, weekly, monthly sales goals.

- Ability to professionally resolve high-pressure customer conflicts in a manner that reflects Uptown's superior customer service expectations.

- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Perform basic, fundamental mathematical and reasoning operations. Good cash handling skills required as well as knowledge of basic computer operations (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)

- Social media promotion experience preferred.

Experience:

- Minimum of two years in retail management; and to have held the same position, at the same company, for six months or greater.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.

Three professional references will be required upon final interview.
