General Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role involves handling accounting transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Requirements

•Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and statements.

•Prepare and analyze financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

•Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

•Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.

•Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.

•Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in preparing tax returns.

•Monitor and manage company expenses to optimize financial performance.

•Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

•Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent discrepancies and fraud.

•Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance.

Qualifications and Skills:

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

•Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or CMA) is a plus.

•Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.

•Travel companies or GSA experiences preferable.

•Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

•Good communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
