General Accountant

As a General Accountant, you will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth execution of daily accounting operations. You will assist with Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), invoice processing, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop practical accounting skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, VAT, SSO, and other statutory requirements.

• Record accounting entries accurately and on time.

• Review vendor invoices and communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and reconcile accounts.

• Assist in preparing management reports.

• Collaborate with the management accounting team during month-end closing activities.

• Support the finance team with urgent projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.

• Familiarity with tax regulations, VAT, and social security (SSO) requirements is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Familiarity with ERP or accounting software is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to manage routine accounting activities efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a proactive approach to assigned responsibilities.

• Demonstrated willingness to learn, continuously develop professional knowledge, and take on new responsibilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Results-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

• Basic to intermediate proficiency in English is preferred.
