General Labour - Material Handler - Glass PM

What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler – Glass Insulated Units supports production by safely handling glass materials, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining an efficient and safe work environment. This role reports to the Production Supervisor.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM - $2.00 Shift Premium for all hours worked

Job responsibilities include:

• Load, unload, sort, and stage glass using overhead crane and/or manual handling methods.
• Read and verify glass tags and specifications to ensure correct material selection and machine setup.
• Inspect finished products for size, thickness, and quality; reject items outside acceptable tolerances.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling and disposal of broken glass.
• Maintain equipment in safe working condition and uphold housekeeping standards in the department.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support production goals and a positive work environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and follow specifications and instructions.
• Commitment to safety with the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Experience with material handling equipment (e.g., overhead crane) considered an asset.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle glass and materials from 50-75lbs throughout the shift.
• Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and support different areas as needed.
