Job Summary: General UtilityThe General Utility position is responsible for a variety of vehicle service and custodial tasks essential to the daily operations of GRTC. This role ensures that all revenue vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and properly maintained in assigned areas. The position also supports facility cleanliness by maintaining a tidy service station and performing trash collection duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Pumps fuel, checks oil, washes, cleans and stores revenue vehicles in assigned areas.
• Maintains a clean service station and maintenance work area.
• Cleans and performs trash pickup detail.
• Follow all safety protocols and shop procedures.

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:In accordance with our mission statement, additional duties and / or tasks may be assigned to continue seamless service for the agency.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• High school education required. High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Current Virginia Commercial Driver’s License Class B with P endorsement (preferred) or Virginia CDL Learner’s permit.

*Preference will be given to applicants who currently hold a valid Virginia CDL Class B License with P Endorsement.*
