Position Overview

We are looking for experienced Geospatial / Engineering Surveyor to join our Digital Engineering team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for surveyors with strong land and engineering surveying experience who are also confident working with modern reality-capture technologies. The role will involve working across a variety of infrastructure, construction and built-environment projects, using a combination of traditional surveying techniques and 3D laser scanning.

What You Will Do

• Carrying out topographical, engineering, control and as-built surveys
• Using Total Stations, GNSS/RTK equipment and 3D laser scanning technology
• Supporting engineering surveying and setting-out activities
• Establish, maintain and verify survey control networks, datums and coordinate systems.
• Understand point cloud registration and processing workflows sufficiently to ensure data captured on site is suitable for downstream processing.
• Planning and delivering survey fieldwork to meet project requirements
• Capturing accurate, high-quality survey data across a range of projects
• Collaborating with Geospatial Engineering, CAD, BIM and Digital Engineering teams
• Support junior surveyors and less experienced team members where appropriate.
• Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and quality on-site
  
  

What You Will Bring

• Qualification in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with Total Stations and GNSS/RTK surveying equipment
• Experience undertaking terrestrial laser scanning surveys

• Good understanding of survey control, traversing, coordinate systems, datums and survey accuracy.
• Strong understanding of field QA/QC and the ability to identify missing or potentially inaccurate data before leaving site.

• Ability to work independently and manage field operations effectively
• Experience within construction, infrastructure or the built environment
• The right to work in the UK
• Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients
• Possess a full clean manual driving license
