About us

For over 125 years, T&G Fresh has nourished generations of Kiwis with fresh fruit and vegetables. We grow, pack, market, sell, distribute, import and export fresh produce from our own orchards and farms, as well as from over 700 Kiwi growers.

We are New Zealand's largest producer and packer of hothouse tomatoes. These crops are grown in state-of-the-art, environmentally controlled glasshouses, across our four North Island sites, and are packaged for both local and export markets all-year round.

The Role

We're looking for Glasshouse Workers to join our team in Tuakau on a casual basis.

You'll be working with our tomato crop in the glasshouse. This is a hands-on role that includes:

🍅 Picking tomatoes
🍅 De-leafing tomato vines
🍅 Plant care, including pruning, clipping and twisting
🍅 Packing and grading of freshly harvested tomatoes

No previous horticulture experience is needed — full training is provided.

You'll play an important role in working efficiently to ensure our quality produce makes its way to our customers.

About you

The ideal candidate will:

🍅 Have good attention to detail and take pride in doing a good job and following quality standards

🍅 Physically fit and able to do hands-on work all day, including standing, bending, lifting up to 25kg, and working on a high trolley from time to time

🍅 Reliable and punctual with good availability for casual shifts - glasshouse operating hours are 7am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts available

🍅 A team player who gets along well with others.

🍅 Willing to learn and follow instructions - onsite training to learn new skills is provided

🍅 Comfortable working in warm glasshouse environment
