Goods Vehicle Drivers

Job Purpose

The main responsibilities of the job incumbent will be to ensure the delivery of products at different locations in a safe and timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customer.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Complete multiple deliveries and collections of goods at customers' place in a courteous and polite manner.
• Assist helpers in the loading and unloading of the vehicle
• Prioritize workload to ensure time commitments are met
• Ensure correct completion of paperwork, amongst others, securing customer's signature upon delivery
• Ensure that goods are safely secured in the lorries and that they are transported in good conditions
• Maintaining the vehicle in good running conditions, ensuring that all necessary checks are carried out prior to departing for customers' place
• Ensure that the team follows Health & Safety practices and that only work allowing for such conformity is performed

Profile

• Minimum SC or equivalent certificate

• Experience in a similar work environment would be an advantage
• Holder of a valid driving license for vehicles above 3.5T
• Physically fit and healthy and good eyesight
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Willing to work odd hours
