LH-Recruitment are working with one of the country's leading education providers, they promote excellence in everything they do. They are committed to nurturing today's young people and inspiring tomorrow's leaders. We are working with them to recruit a Governance Officer on a 12 Months Contract.

Your new role will be to support the organisation of Trust governance meetings to ensure that they are undertaken in a professional and effective manner and to support the governance and statutory compliance requirements placed upon the Trust.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES but not limited

Support Governance administration to ensure the Trust's organisation, management and meetings meet statutory and regulatory requirements and high professional standards.

Maintain relevant governance records, controls and databases.

Ensure colleagues have the governance information, procedures and advice they need in order to fulfil their statutory, regulatory and other responsibilities to the Trust.

Support the organisation and administration of the Trust's governance meetings.

Provide an effective preparation and distribution service for Trust meeting papers to ensure that Trustees and other decision makers receive timely, accurate, well-presented information that enables them to make effective decisions.

Provide an effective minute taking service for the Trust to ensure that Trust meetings are recorded in a timely and accurate fashion and in compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.

Monitor the implementation of decisions taken at the Trust's governance meetings.

You will have:

Experience of supporting governance within a statutory or professional environment;
Experience of producing meeting papers and minutes in a statutory or professional environment;
Have strong IT skills with the ability to establish and maintain databases; and
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
