Project Duties of Resource:
ThispositionwouldReporttotheDirectorof ChangeManagement.TheChangeManageris responsibletoensurethat standardizedmethodsandproceduresare usedforefficientandprompthandlingofallchangesinordertominimizethe impactof change-relatedincidentsuponservicequalityand improvetheoveralloperationsofthe organization.This resultsin highqualitysystems,thusprovidingcustomerswithqualityproductsandservices.Thispositionis responsible fortheefficientprocessingofallapplicationandoperationalchangestothedevelopment,test andproduction environments.
Theexpectedworkforthe ChangeManageris asfollows:
- •MonitorsandensuresthattheChangeManagementprocessis beingadheredtoin ordertominimize the impactof changerelatedincidentsuponservicequality.
- •UtilizetheChangeManagementprocessacrossthe organization,to assist incoordinatingprojectsand smallchangeswithallbusinessunits.Ensurestestingcontrolandescalationof risksandissues. Ensuringthatstandardizedmethodsand proceduresare understoodandfollowedforefficientand prompthandlingof allchanges,in ordertominimizethe impactof change-relatedincidentsuponservice quality,andconsequentlyimprovetheday-to-dayoperationsofthe organization.
- •ChairingtheChangeAdvisoryBoard(CAB)meetingandforconveningthe EmergencyCABcommittee whereneeded.
- •Engagingoperationalareasfor inputonemergencychangerequestsasneeded.
- •UnderstandsandcommunicatesInformationTechnologyInfrastructureLibrary(ITIL)bestpractices specificallyforChangeManagementandhowtheprocessalignsand interactswithotherITIL processes.
- •Overseeingandmanagingtheraisingandrecordingofchanges,assessingthe impactandrisk, schedulingoftheproposedchangespriorto implementation,performingthereviewofchangesclosing therequestsforchangeoncecomplete.
- •Reviewingnon-successfulchangestodeterminecauseandmitigationforfuturerequestsandreporting thesefindingstomanagement.
- •Communicatingandschedulinganyclientorinternalrequestedchangefreezeperiods.Reportinganychangestomanagementwhichhavesignificantrisk orclient impact.Thechangemanagerhastheabilitytorejectsuchchangesifacompleteanddetailedimplementationandback-outplanis not in place.
- •Leadthedesign,implementationandcontinuousimprovementof ChangeManagementtoensurecost efficient,timelyandeffectiveservicesthatsupportthe corporatebusinessstrategy.
- •EnsurethatonlyauthorizedRequestsforChangeareimplemented,thatChangeitem informationis communicated,recorded,anddeliveredinanacceptabletimeframein accordancewithservicelevel agreementsand incompliancewiththeChangeManagementProcess.
- •Providethefinalchangeauthorizationbasedon assessmentof completenessand validityofChange Managementoutputs(designmethodology,testplansandresults,implementationplans,back-outplans and verificationplans).
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
- •InformationTechnologyInfrastructureLibrary(ITIL)processes&bestpractices,specificallyfocusedonChange Managementandhowtheprocessalignsand interactswithotherITILprocesses.ITILCertificationsare required.
- •ITapplications&computingplatforms,includingdesktop& serverhardware& software,database,operating systems,storage&network.
- •Bestpracticeframeworkapproachesintendedto facilitatethedeliveryofhighqualityinformationtechnology. IndepthknowledgeofChange,ConfigurationandReleaseManagementprocessesandmethodologies
