How You'll Make an Impact:

In this role, you will:

• Join one of our product team from day one, collaborating cross-functionally to shape and build our product.

• Create high-performing, scalable systems using modern software engineering practices.

• Work side-by-side with AI coding tools (like Codex and Claude Code) from day one. You will direct and prompt AI agents for implementation, testing, and docs - but you are the pilot who understands, explains, and rigorously validates every line before it merges.

• Take ownership of parts of the product or specific features throughout the full lifecycle, from conceptualisation to delivery and monitoring.

• Understand and address complex customer needs to make international money transfers cheaper and faster.

Growth and Development:

At Wise, we believe in continuous learning, which is why we support you with a structured 9-month milestone framework:

• WiseStart Engineering Bootcamp during your first week - a two day introduction to the engineering tools and terminology we use at Wise, designed to bridge the gap between university and working in a live production environment

• Engineering Academy - a 9 months programme of essential technical topics for engineering graduates. Topics are selected and delivered by our engineering community on a bi-monthly basis

• Mentorship/ buddy programme - you will have a buddy assigned to you to give you as much possible connection with people who know what you’re going through!

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

• You have or are graduating in 2026  or 2027 with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, in Computer Science or any other STEM subject. However, a degree in a technical field is not a must as our selection process prioritises your skills and potential.

• Ready to start a full-time role in September 2027.

• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals and any major programming language (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Kotlin, or Swift).

• Eagerness to configure and use AI development tools daily, with the ability to explain any AI-generated code you submit.

• A strong commitment to best coding practices, eager to both receive and actively contribute constructive comments to your peers' code reviews.

Work Authorization:

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This role is not eligible for employment-based immigration sponsorship or transfer by Wise.
