The ICCT is looking for an intern to join our office in Beijing, working to support the transition of the transport sector to zero-emission technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the nonprofit sector. 

You will: 

• Contribute to research projects that analyze and communicate the status of environmental transportation policies adopted in China 

• Support conducting statistical analysis under guidance from ICCT's research staff  

• Support report translation and outreach material drafting works 

• Deliver ad-hoc tasks as needed 

You have: 

• Senior undergraduate or graduate student. Preferable major in Transportation, Environment
  Science & Engineering, Automotive, or other related disciplines. 

• Excellent research, analytical, and quantitative skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. 

• Ability to work with databases using statistical languages/softwares such as R, Python and Tableau
  

• Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese, strong ability in spoken and written English. 

• Ideally with experiences or knowledge in transportation planning, vehicle emissions, automotive technologies, or environmental data analysis.  

• Good understanding on climate change and transportation will be preferred, enthusiasms on working with researchers and international colleagues.  

• Capability to work at least 3 days per week, and on-site work in ICCT Beijing office at least 2 day per week. The intern will be at least 3
  month. 
  
  

Our benefits

The internship contract will have a duration of 6 months, with potential extension to 12 months. You will work in our Beijing office and report to our China heavy duty vehicle program staff. ICCT will provide a laptop and other office equipment as needed. We are offering a salary of CNY 3,362 a month (30 hours a week), or an amount proportional to the workload allowed by your university.
