Head of Development

The Head of Developmentwill co-lead Goelett’s transformation alongside the Head of Product in a two-in-a-box partnership.
This role anchors the product development of Goelett, ensuring that innovation and stability coexist.

Head of Development will lead a high-performing product development organization delivering scalable and secure platforms that power S4BT’s product strategy. The Head of Development partners with the Head of Product to translate business priorities into actionable initiatives, balancing innovation with operational reliability.

The Head of Development will work closely with CISO of the S4BT Group, shaping Goelett’s evolution into the S4BT Group’s central technology hub.

Partnership: Head of Product (two-in-a-box model)



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  1. Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional agile squads, fostering collaboration among developers, testers, and technical support teams.
  • Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within each squad.
  • Ensure alignment of all technical teams with the overall product strategy and business goals.
  • Establish clear performance goals and ensure teams deliver on sprint commitments and quality standards.
  1. Product Development & Delivery
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of product initiatives—from planning and prioritization through to release and post-launch support.
  • Translate the product roadmap into clear technical objectives and agile sprint plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Head of Product to ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and timely delivery.
  • Drive adoption of working backwards concept in agile teams ensuring consistent execution across squads.
  • Monitor velocity, cycle times, and quality metrics to optimize delivery processes.
  1. Quality Assurance & Technical Excellence
  • Lead testing and QA efforts in Goelett ensuring robust coverage and product reliability.
  • Implement and maintain development standards, code review processes, and release management protocols.
  1. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Communicate development progress, risks, and dependencies transparently to leadership.
  • Collaborate with technical support teams to ensure seamless handover from development to production and efficient incident resolution always with customer-centric vision.
  1. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement tools, workflows, and automation that enhance team productivity.
  • Analyze product and process performance to drive iterative improvements.
  • Foster a learning environment through retrospectives, training, and experimentation.



KEY COMPETENCES:

  • Deep experience in SaaS, Cloud, and enterprise-grade architecture.
  • Proven track record in technology transformation and modernization.
  • Strong people leadership and organizational development skills.
  • Excellent communication and alignment with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with operational execution discipline.

Experience

  • 10+ years of senior technology leadership experience.
  • Proven experience building and scaling distributed engineering teams.
  • Strong foundation in .NET, Azure, and API-driven platforms.
  • Experience in payments, travel, or financial technology sectors is an advantage.
