We are supporters and minority shareholders in about 20 more private digital/ tech companies. Right now we are spending a lot of time in the future of aviation and clean energy. In those sectors, we invest across all stages.

We are looking for a Head of Finance to run all finance and operational aspects of Team Europe and be a pivotal part of growing total Assets under Management (AUM). Among others, you will take over responsibility of annual accounts, asset tracking and -growth trajectory, and operations. You will become a trusted and supported partner and the go-to-person for the operations, being able to challenge the overall strategy and making sure it is in line with the operative viability.

Your responsibilities include

  • Oversight of all financial reporting and controlling
  • Transaction support, including commercial input into investment terms
  • Cash Flow management and treasury
  • Set up and provide comprehensive KPI reporting to the CEO
  • Financial planning and analysis as required
  • Leadership of existing operations team and expanding the team where needed
  • Providing support for portfolio companies as required

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should have

  • 7 + years of professional experience and at least 2 years as a Head of Finance / auditor / controller of an investment company / startup / VC
  • Outstanding analytical skills and a strong drive to structure information
  • A strong people leader / Experience managing small, ideally multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with German law, accounting standards and taxes
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and previous involvement in entrepreneurial environments
  • Expertise with various asset classes (VC, equities, PE, real estate) is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in German and English
