Aerospace Aluminum Processing is looking for a Heat Treat Operator to join our production team. This position operates heat treat furnaces, prepares and processes parts, and follows written instructions and quality procedures to ensure work is completed accurately and safely. Candidates with related experience are welcome, and we will also consider candidates who are interested in learning the role.
Schedule: The regular schedule is first shift, 6:30 p.m.–2:00 p.m. Initial training will take place for approximately one to two months. We can discuss scheduling accommodations during the training period. Exact start and end times may vary based on production needs.
Pay: $22 per hour
Responsibilities
- Operate heat treat furnaces and set up loads according to work instructions.
- Attach load thermocouples and monitor processing requirements.
- Read, follow, and accurately complete job paperwork.
- Inspect parts, perform hardness testing, and straighten parts as trained and directed.
- Make process adjustments within established procedures and with appropriate guidance.
- Follow quality, safety, and shop floor procedures.
- Clean parts and maintain a clean work area.
- Assist the Shift Lead and other operators as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Heat treating or manufacturing experience preferred; training is available for candidates without direct experience.
- Ability to follow written instructions, pay close attention to detail, and use basic math and measurements.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The role involves working around industrial equipment and regularly handling parts and materials. Employees may need to lift or move up to 50 pounds; assistance or equipment should be used for heavier items.
