About this role
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Mechanic to perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on heavy machinery and mechanized systems. The role involves diagnosing technical faults, carrying out complex mechanical repairs, supporting workshop operations, and ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and within quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery such as crawler tractors, motor graders, and large agricultural tractors (95 kVA and above).
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system issues.
- Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance according to schedules.
- Identify required materials and ensure availability before starting repairs.
- Operate workshop tools and equipment including lathe, press, welding machines, diagnostic tools, and lifting equipment.
- Interpret technical manuals and diagrams to validate repair procedures.
- Record all work performed in Service Orders (SO) for traceability and control.
- Support equipment assembly, repairs, and material reuse where applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure correct use of PPE.
- Provide technical support to assistants and replace the Workshop Manager when required.
- Assist in daily planning of workshop activities and coordinate with the technical team.
Requirements
Qualifications & Training:
* Technical course in Mechanics (mandatory)
* Training in heavy machinery maintenance, hydraulics, and electrics
* Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams
* Basic computer skills
Experience:
* **3–5 years of experience** in maintenance of heavy machinery and agricultural equipment (preferred)
