We are Escuela, a new concept in Austin coming 2026!
At Escuela, we offer a unique dining experience rooted in fresh, locally sourced ingredients, exceptional service, and a deep connection to place. We use regenerative and organic practices on our five-acre farm to source our ingredients for our food and beverage menus to create a true farm to table experience. Set in a beautifully restored 100+ year old schoolhouse in the heart of Oak Hill, our restaurant honors the spirit of learning and community that once filled these walls.
Today, that legacy continues through true Texas hospitality. We invite our guests to have a table at our farm to tell them stories about our land, our building, and the people behind each plate. Job Summary: We are seeking a Host/Hostess to join the team at our restaurant. In this role, you will welcome guests, organize seating arrangements, lead guests to their seats, and inform them of any specials. Your goal is to quickly build rapport with patrons and make them feel welcome. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and committed to providing an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a smile and communicate effectively
• Seat guests at their tables, taking into consideration the guests' needs or requests
• Provide guests with menus and inform them of any available specials

Requirements

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess, server, or busser is preferred.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• A passion for hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Open Table preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods.
• Familiarity with food safety guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
