Wehousepeople without preconditions such as sobriety because housing is abasic human right.Sabathani’s CoC Pathways HomeoffersPermanentSupportive Housingfor those experiencing chronic homelessness. This is a long-term service designed forthosehavingthe greatest needs and vulnerabilityin our community. Our housing services include housingidentification services, rental and move-inassistance, andon-goingcase managementsupport that includes support with application for financial benefits, referral to educational and vocational programming,and transportation and childcare to attend this programming.

What you'll do

Direct Supportand Documentation* 85%

  • Intakeofparticipants.
  • Examiningparticipantincomeandfamilycomposition.
  • Providinghousinginformationandassistance.
  • Inspecting units forcomplianceand housing quality standards (HQS)
  • Processrentalpaymentstolandlords.

Internal Support*10%

  • Works closely with Sabathani’sCFO to process rentalassistancepayments.
  • Develop or refine internal processes to ensure efficiency in communicationand programming.
  • Representsand promotes Sabathani’s mission and programs in a variety of public settings (outreach sites, events, organizations, referring agencies, etc.)
  • Educate Sabathani Staff aboutreferral,the application requirements,and application process.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalentrequired,bachelor's degree in human services, social work or related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of2years of work experience inhousingorsocial services.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit setting preferred.

Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities:

  • Willingness to learn a variety of tasks;possessesexcellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of nonprofit practices, a serious work ethic, and a desire to work in a team-orientated environment.
  • Possesses the ability to work independently,establishpriorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Understandthe importance of customer serviceand professionalism.
  • Knowledge and experience with diverse groups of people of lower socioeconomic conditions.
  • Demonstrate skills in conflict management.
  • Competencyor the ability to quickly learnQuickBooks(Intuit Software)and Sales Forceplatforms.
