About this role

Five Star Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HR Analyst to support day-to-day Human Resources operations in Guatemala. This position will play an important role in maintaining accurate employee records, supporting payroll and IGSS processes, verifying new hire documentation, and ensuring HR files and compliance documentation remain complete and up to date.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with confidential information, and able to manage multiple administrative processes with strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration & Employee Support

  • Prepare employment and wage verification letters, bank letters, and other routine employment documentation using approved templates.
  • Coordinate required HR documents for leadership review and approval.
  • Maintain accurate trackers and HR administrative records.
  • Manage replacement access card requests and maintain a master access card tracker.
  • Coordinate and maintain employee locker assignments.
  • IGSS Administration

  • Review IGSS documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Verify supporting documentation associated with employee IGSS requests.
  • Review and respond to IGSS intake requests following established HR and supervisor guidance.
  • Accurately document unpaid time on payroll tracking records.
  • Record approved paid time within Creative.
  • Maintain organized IGSS documentation and supporting records.
  • New Hire & Employee Documentation

  • Review new hire paperwork to ensure all required documents have been completed and returned.
  • Maintain a new hire documentation checklist and follow up on missing information.
  • Verify background check documentation, including validating applicable QR codes.
  • Maintain complete and accurate physical employee personnel files.
  • Upload and organize employee documentation within the digital HR drive.
  • Help ensure documentation is readily available when needed for compliance reviews, PCI requests, audits, or legal matters.
  • Contracts & Compliance

  • Assist with audits of employment contracts and personnel files to identify missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Maintain accurate contract records.
  • Upload employment contracts to the appropriate Labor Ministry system as needed.
  • Support ongoing HR documentation and compliance audits.
  • Payroll Support

  • Assist HR with payroll preparation and processing.
  • Review employee information and payroll-related documentation for accuracy.
  • Maintain payroll trackers and assist with identifying missing or inconsistent information.
  • Coordinate with HR and payroll team members to help ensure employee changes, IGSS-related time, and other payroll information are accurately documented.
  • Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Human Resources, HR administration, payroll support, or a related administrative role. (Minimum Requirement 1 year, preferably your most recent position)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review documentation and employee information.Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Experience working with confidential and sensitive employee information.Comfortable working with spreadsheets, trackers, digital records, and HR systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established processes while identifying discrepancies or missing information.
  • English and Spanish proficiency required.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English (Must be @ a level C1 or above)
  • Previous experience with Guatemala HR, payroll, IGSS, or employment documentation is strongly preferred.
  • Previous call center experience preferred

  • 18 years of age, a background check applicable with local laws is required

    The HR Analyst will be trusted with confidential employee information and should be able to work independently while knowing when an issue needs to be escalated to HR leadership.

    Hours and Status

  • Primarily Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm. However, there could be times where hours/days worked could change pending business need.
