We are looking for a commercially minded, highly credible HR Business Partner to support a dynamic and ambitious wealth management business experiencing significant growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.

Previous HR Business Partner experience within a wealth management organisation is an essential requirement for this role. Unfortunately, we will not be considering candidates whose experience is solely from other sectors, including broader financial services.

This is not a role for someone who relies solely on established processes and frameworks. We need an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can think on their feet, and has the confidence and capability to create solutions where none currently exist. You will be a trusted advisor to business leaders, challenging the status quo, driving performance, and delivering pragmatic people solutions that balance commercial objectives with employee experience and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business integration activity, increasing colleague engagement, embedding a high-performance culture, and ensuring the organisation continues to attract, retain and develop top talent.

This role requires an individual who is equally comfortable operating strategically with senior leaders whilst also rolling up their sleeves to deliver operational HR activity when required.

Strategic partnering

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing commercially focused people solutions that support business objectives.

Partner with leadership teams to drive organisational performance, capability and growth.

Challenge leaders constructively, influencing decision-making and ensuring people considerations are integrated into business plans.

Support strategic workforce planning, succession planning and organisational design initiatives.

Use data, insight and business understanding to identify risks, opportunities and trends.

Acquisitions, integration & change

Develop and execute integration plans that successfully embed acquired businesses into the wider organisation whilst maintaining engagement and productivity.

Support leaders through periods of change, ensuring effective communication and adoption.

Identify and mitigate people-related risks associated with business growth and transformation.

Employee relations, performance & capability

Manage complex employee relations matters with a pragmatic, commercially focused approach.

Provide expert guidance on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management, TUPE and organisational change matters.

Assess business risk while balancing employee relations outcomes and commercial priorities.

Coach managers and junior team members to confidently manage employee issues and improve leadership capability.

Engagement and Culture

Drive initiatives that increase employee engagement and strengthen organisational culture.

Support leaders in creating an environment that promotes accountability, inclusion, collaboration and high performance.

Identify root causes of engagement challenges and implement practical solutions.

Champion change initiatives that support business transformation and growth.

Performance and Talent

Embed a high-performance culture through effective performance management practices.

Partner with leaders to identify and develop high-potential talent.

Support talent reviews, succession planning and leadership development activity.

Challenge underperformance and support leaders in taking effective action.

Essential

Proven experience as an HR Business Partner within a commercial, fast-paced environment.

Experience supporting businesses undergoing significant growth, transformation or change.

Strong employee relations experience, including management of complex and sensitive cases.

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance people outcomes and business objectives.

Experience driving engagement, culture and organisational performance initiatives.

Ability to work strategically whilst remaining hands-on and operational when required.

Experience of organisational design and change management.

Up-to-date employment law knowledge.

Working knowledge of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).

Strong problem-solving skills with the confidence to create solutions and processes where none currently exist.

Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills.

Desirable

Experience of mergers, acquisitions, TUPE and organisational integration.

Experience working across multiple jurisdictions.
