The HR Generalist supports a broad range of day-to-day Human Resources functions, with a particular emphasis on recruitment and talent acquisition. This position provides support in benefits administration, training, performance management, HR administration and systems, while managing the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing and screening through candidate selection and transition to onboarding.

The role partners with hiring managers and employees to support a positive employee and candidate experience, while representing Caring Network’s mission, values, and culture. The position uses HR systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, networking, and relationship-building to attract and engage top talent.


Key Responsibilities:

Generalist

  • Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding HR policies, benefits, procedures, and routine employment matters.
  • Assist with performance management, employee development, and related documentation.
  • Support benefits administration, leave management, and employee status changes.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and information within BambooHR and other HR systems.
  • Support HR compliance, recordkeeping, policy administration, and HR reporting.
  • Assist with HR projects, employee communications, and process improvements.


Talent Acquisition

  • Support the full recruitment cycle for assigned positions, including intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offers, and transition to onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR Director to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and hiring priorities.
  • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, professional networks, and other channels. Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future staffing needs.
  • Review applications, conduct candidate screenings, and coordinate interviews and candidate evaluations.
  • Ensure timely candidate communication and a positive recruitment experience.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting records and workflows within the ATS.
  • Track recruiting metrics, including time to fill, sourcing effectiveness, and candidate conversion.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

  • A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is a participant in a local church.
  • Maintains a consistent life-affirming philosophy and would never refer or advise a woman to have an abortion.
  • Agrees with and is willing to uphold Caring Network's Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, and Core Values.
  • 3-5 years of HR Generalist including recruiting, sourcing and talent acquisition.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS. BambooHR desirable.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruiting platforms required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus
  • Must be able to work onsite in Glen Ellyn office, IL, and attend occasional meetings and events at off-site locations.
