This is a highly visible standalone role, working closely with senior operational leaders and acting as the primary HR lead for the site. You’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact across employee relations, workforce planning, engagement, change and organisational effectiveness.
What you’ll be doing:
As an HR Manager, you’ll take ownership of the full people agenda across the Leicester site, including:
Partnering with senior leaders and managers to deliver practical people solutions.
Leading employee relations activity including absence, performance, capability, disciplinary, grievance and organisational change.
Coaching managers to confidently manage people matters and build their own capability.
Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, agency labour and effective onboarding.
Leading and supporting restructuring, consultation and organisational change.
Using people data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
Supporting site compliance, including the Ethical Agenda and SMETA audits.
Driving engagement, communication, attendance and accountability.
Working closely with Payroll, L&D, ER specialists, recruitment and wider HR teams.
Supporting the transition towards the future Consumer Foods people operating model.
What we’re looking for:

You’ll ideally bring:
Significant generalist HR experience within manufacturing, food, logistics or another fast-paced operational environment.
Strong employee relations and change-management experience.
A solid working knowledge of UK employment law.
Experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders.
The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on HR delivery.
Strong coaching, influencing and problem-solving skills.
Confidence working with people data and HR systems.
CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience.
A full UK driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential.
Why this role?
This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being close to the operation, making a tangible difference and taking ownership. You’ll be joining at an important point in the development of the Added Value business, with the opportunity to shape people practices, strengthen manager capability and support the transition towards the future Consumer Foods model.
