The HR Business Partner serves as the primary HR contact for managers and employees, providing day-to-day support across employee relations, performance management, HR operations, talent processes, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partnership
Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, employee development, and HR policies.
Support employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture initiatives.
Provide guidance on workforce changes, promotions, transfers, and organizational updates.
Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations
Manage onboarding, transfers, promotions, contract changes, and offboarding activities.
Maintain employee records and HR data in Workday and other HR systems.
Coordinate probation reviews, background checks, and employee documentation.
Partner with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to deliver HR services.
Compliance, Benefits & Programs
Handle employee relations cases, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
Ensure compliance with China labor laws and company policies.
Administer employee benefits, wellness programs, training records, and HR communications.
Manage HR vendors and support audits, reporting, and process improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2-3 years in an HR Business Partner role.
Experience supporting employee relations, HR operations, and performance management.
Knowledge of China labor laws and HR practices.
Experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems.
Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Fluency in both spoken and written Mandarin and English required.
Success Measures
Delivers responsive HR support to managers and employees.
Maintains strong compliance and employee relations practices.
Ensures accurate execution of HR processes and employee lifecycle activities.
Contributes to positive employee engagement and an effective workplace culture.
