About the Human Resources Internship:

Gain hands-on experience across key Human Resources functions, including, onboarding, HR reporting, compliance, employee communications, and project coordination. You'll build strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills while supporting day-to-day HR operations and strategic initiatives.

Program structure:

• Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Start Date: May 2027
• Duration: Year-round internship

What we're looking for:

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Human Resources Management or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.

• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent customer service skills to assist employees with questions.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

• Planning and organizational skills.

• Time management skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Ability to succeed in a team environment.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Preferred experience:

• HRIS experience.

• Customer service experience.

• Familiarity and/or experience with HR practices and HR law.

What you'll focus on:

• Supporting and facilitating new hire onboarding activities to create a positive employee experience.
• Maintaining accurate HR records and completing audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Preparing reports and analyzing HR data to support business decisions.
• Managing employee communications, announcements, and HR updates.
• Providing administrative support for HR meetings, events, and employee programs.
• Assisting with a variety of HR projects and day-to-day operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
