About the Human Resources Internship:

Develop professional HR communications, presentations, and meeting materials while analyzing workforce data and reports to support employee engagement, recruiting, and HR initiatives.

Program structure:

• Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
• Location: Saukville, WI
• Start Date: May 2027
• Duration: Year-round internship

What we're looking for:

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Human Resources Management or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.

• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent customer service skills to assist employees with questions.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

• Planning and organizational skills.

• Time management skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Ability to succeed in a team environment.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Preferred experience:

• HRIS experience.

• Customer service experience.

• Familiarity and/or experience with HR practices and HR law.

What you'll focus on:

• Support new hire onboarding and assist with facilitating new hire orientation.
• Prepare reports and analyze trends related to turnover, engagement, and stay/exit interviews.
• Conduct bi-weekly audits for hourly performance reviews and Pay for Skills tracking.
• Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding Summer Helpers.
• Create employee presentation materials and participate in weekly HR team meetings.
• Support a variety of HR projects and administrative initiatives while gaining hands-on experience across multiple HR functions.
