About the Job

Do you love the thrill of the Arctic wilderness and have a passion for working with dogs? We are seeking a dedicated and adventurous Husky Musher to join our team for the winter season. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care of our husky dogs and delivering exceptional sledding experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Caring for and training our husky dogs

• Leading guests on husky sledding tours

• Providing safety instructions and ensuring guest safety during tours

• Maintaining the kennels and equipment

• Feeding, grooming, and monitoring the health of the huskies

• Delivering a memorable and educational experience to guests about huskies and mushing

• Assisting with other resort activities as needed

Requirements

• Experience in dog mushing or working with sled dogs

• A strong passion for animals and wildlife

• Good physical fitness and stamina

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Basic knowledge of animal first aid

• Ability to work in cold weather conditions

• Valid driver’s license

Beneficial Qualifications

• Fluency in multiple languages

Pay, Duration, and Benefits

• Starts: October, Ends: March/April

• Working hours 90 - 120h/3week period

• Hourly pay negotiated in an interview, according to knowledge and experience

• Other benefits according to the collective labour agreement

• If necessary, the resort provides accommodation in a shared room for €300,00/month

Husky opas

Ensimmäinen Northern Lights Village resort avattiin vuonna 2016. Levin resort on tarjonnut uniikkeja majoitusvaihtoehtoja revontulikotien muodossa vuodesta 2019. Lisäksi palveluvalikoimaamme kuuluvat ravintola, saunat, safaritalo sekä monipuoliset ohjelmat.

Haemme nyt koiravaljakko-oppaita ja kenneltyöntekijöitä Levin kenneliin Pöntsössä. Huskyfarmimme avasi ovensa keväällä 2022, ja siellä pääset työskentelemään 160 alaskan huskyn kanssa.

Mitä tarjoamme:

• Monipuolisen työn: Koiravaljakko safareiden järjestäminen, asiakaspalvelu ja kenneltyöt kuuluvat tehtäviin

• Työ alkaa syksyllä ja työtunteja 90 - 120h/3vko
