About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HVAC Supervisor to support our Facilities Services Division. This position focuses on the evaluation, data collection, and condition assessment of HVAC systems across District schools and facilities. The HVAC Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate HVAC systems and components at District sites.
- Enter system data into various formats, including tablets, smartphones, and laptops.
- Use construction and technical knowledge to assess HVAC systems behind walls, ceilings, and floors.
- Evaluate overall condition and remaining service life (RSL) of HVAC equipment and systems.
- Work closely with other trade surveyors to collect measurements, specifications, and boilerplate data.
- Support ad hoc HVAC surveys as requested by leadership.
- Provide supervision and serve as a technical resource to staff or survey participants.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management; OR
- At least 10 years of HVAC/construction experience (4 years of which may substitute for degree).
- 6+ years of full-time experience with construction management teams in HVAC-related projects.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, and maintenance practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to engage with school administrators, faculty, and staff.
