ICT ServiceDesk Technician

We are seeking an ICT Service Desk Technician to provide professional technical support to end users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and printer-related issues. The role will also provide end-user guidance and training, assist Network and Server Administrators, escalate complex issues, and maintain ICT hardware and software inventory records.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide first-line technical support by diagnosing and resolving Level 1 hardware, software, network, email, Internet, and printer-related issues through phone, email, service desk portal, or in person.

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user computers, software, peripherals, printers, and other ICT equipment, including minor hardware repairs.

• Provide technical guidance and training to end users and ensure clear, professional communication of solutions.

• Escalate complex issues to Level 2 support, coordinate third-party repairs, and assist with network cabling and related equipment.

• Maintain ICT inventory and documentation, gather user feedback, recommend service improvements, and perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• NATIN, HAVO, or VWO diploma, preferably with a focus on ICT or a related technical field.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT Service Desk, Help Desk, or technical support.

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, prioritize requests, and escalate complex problems when required.

• Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break

• Good communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch and English.

• If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goed Gedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
