Idlewild and SoakZone: Electrician

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Performexpertelectrical maintenance for allrides, attraction, food stand, stages, and CCTV throughoutthe entire facility

• Respond to electrical-related issues in a timely manner; troubleshoot and repair any electrical problems in a safe and effective manner

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations, including those established by OSHA,NFPA,etc.

• Develop strong practicalknowledge and skills in the areas of electrical/electronic maintenance and repair,including PLC’s, Motors, Drives, Switches, Sensors

• Maintain electrical services to park buildings and other structures

• Conduct periodic inspections of electrical services to proactively identify issues

• Participate in the setup ofspecial park events (e.g. holiday lights,concerts,etc)

• Research new trends and advances in electricalproductstohelpremain current with emergingtechnologies

• Promptly notify maintenance and/or park leadership of any escalated maintenance issues or safety hazards

• Maintain all storage areas, shops, and mechanical areas in a clean, safe, organized, and secure manner

• Safely operate company owned trucks, forklifts, and other equipment

• Safely and effectively utilize standard electrical maintenance equipment and hand tools, vehicles, hydraulic benders, ladders and scaffolding, electrical testing equipment, welding equipment, torches, park rides, telephone, hand-held two-way radio, and manlift/forklift

• Performroutineadministrative tasksfor the Maintenance department, including ordering materials

• Assist all other Maintenance and trades team members with completing maintenance projects

• All other duties and projects assigned by Maintenance or Park leadership

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent

• 3+ years of college, trade school, or technical degree preferredhighly desired; Equivalent work experience will also be considered

• 5+ years ofpreviouswork experiencein electrical maintenance or as an electrician

• 3+ years of control / PLC experience, preferred

• 3+ years of power distribution, preferred

Language:Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

• Must be at least18years of age to comply withPennsylvaniaChild Labor Laws

• Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to close

• Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record

• Must be safety conscious and adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

• Ability to interact with other team members, guests, contractors, and suppliers in a positive, professional manner

• Ability to troubleshoot issues clearly, calmly, accurately, and safely, while in the presence of guests and fellow team members

• Ability to read and comprehend ride maintenance manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

• Must possess a general understanding of standardmaintenancepractices and proceduresforelectrical, carpentry, and plumbing trades

• Must have solid understandingof and be able to apply the concepts of theNational Electrician’s Code (NEC)forall work projects

• Previous experience with welding and soldering techniques, highly desired

• Ability to work with varying voltages up to and including13,000volts

• Ability to troubleshoot simple to complex electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems / circuits with a high degree of precision.

• Ability to create material take off, layout projects, and install components according to drawings.

• Ability to terminate all types of cable with different types of ends; cat 6e, fiberoptic, small gauge copper to 500MCM.

• Ability to understand and work with Mobaro

• Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods of time during the day

• Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders

• Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing100pounds or more

• Ability to work in awkward positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain

• Ability to work in all non-conventional areas of the property, including in confined spaces or above ground-level, on scaffolds, ladders, and manlifts

• Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools

• Ability to see differences between colors and brightness

• Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away

Working Conditions:

• Frequent interaction with all outdoor and indoor areas of the park

• Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain,snow, ice,and other weather conditions

• Frequent exposure to electrical currents and high voltage electricity

• Subject to working at significant heights, reaching over100feet above ground level

• Subject to constant repetitive motion,veryhigh noise levels, vibrations,machinery,motorized equipment, and vehicles

• Subject to the handling of and exposure todust, dirt,grease, oils, chemicals, detergents, andcleaners
