Core Work Activities

System Administration:

  • Monitors, acquires, and maintains property-based IT systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Manages computer and network operations, including backups, recovery, and hardware/software administration.
  • Oversees email systems, IT inventories, and network infrastructure (e.g., Unifi).

User Support & Communication:

  • Provides technical support for internet, hardware, software, and applications.
  • Communicates system updates, tips, and alerts to staff.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Inspects, maintains, and repairs IT equipment and systems.
  • Analyzes data to identify and resolve issues.

Goals & Responsibilities

  • Assesses IT needs, ensuring compliance with standards and budget.
  • Prioritizes and schedules projects, delivering on time and within specifications.
  • Monitors progress and ensures proper asset management.

Technical Expertise

  • Stays current on IT trends, applying knowledge to enhance systems.
  • Provides expert support for platforms like Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Crescendo Phone System.

Requirements

  • Proficient in managing local area networks (LANs) and Microsoft Windows environments.
  • 2 years of systems experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of local area networks and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Experience working in a Microsoft 365 environment.
  • System-related professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
