The Infrastructure Manager leads and directs the IT Infrastructure team and external suppliers in the daily management of all technology infrastructure used across the vertically integrated CB group. This role includes developing an operational plan, recruiting and developing a team, and managing internal customer and supplier relationships. The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for all stages of infrastructure projects, including development, planning, and implementation across business processes, policies, procedures, and methodologies, as well as financial management and risk mitigation strategies, all in alignment with the strategic goals and objectives of the Shared Services Division and CB Group as a whole.

The Infrastructure Manager will primarily focus on:


  • Lead and provide reports on technical issues and changes to senior managers, end-users, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead the research and procurement of relevant IT infrastructure technologies that meet the needs of the CB Group jointly with the Business Integration and Applications Support teams to ensure success by default. This includes both on-premises and cloud infrastructure for server technologies, as well as desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, audio-visual devices, and all related peripherals and software.
  • Design, implement, and maintain an effective enterprise-level group-wide Wi-Fi solution, as well as business-redundant WAN networks between locations across the group, including redundant WAN connectivity supporting business applications.
  • Lead the technology support conversation for processing, sales and distribution capabilities, inclusive of operational technology (OT) support for manufacturing, distribution and logistics capabilities across the group, supporting industrial scales and printers as well as hand-held scanners and mobile delivery devices and management.
  • Lead the architecting, installation, configuration, and creation of complex infrastructure solutions, supporting business processes, including support for tightly integrated and niche industry solutions driving efficiency across defined business processes.
  • Manage the end-user technology requirements matrix and computing asset life cycle to ensure teams are equipped to perform at the highest levels of efficiency.
  • Lead regular infrastructure reviews to ensure compliance with security and internal audit requirements and support the remediation of known vulnerabilities in collaboration with the Security team.
  • Develop operational metrics in consultation with the Group manager, then monitor team performance and ensure resources are managed to meet operational targets and business operational agreements (OLA).
  • Develop and manage both capital and operational budgets for the implemented and planned infrastructure requirements, supporting the needs of the CB Group in consultation with the Applications Manager and Group Manager.
  • Lead the technical support response to resolve issues relating to systems, network availability management, telecommunications, and call center (PBX) systems.
  • Develop and lead the IT network and systems for disaster recovery and business continuity, including the planning, execution, and activation, as well as supporting a team and coordinating activities to minimize group-wide business impacts during normal times and during incidents.

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • A first degree in computer science(preferred) or a related field. A master's degree would be a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Manager or similar role managing a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting virtual server environments (Hyper-V and VMware) is required.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure Monitoring solutions is required.
  • Experience with FORTINET and/or CISCO enterprise networking and security devices is required.
  • Experience working within the ITIL framework for service delivery would be an asset. ITIL certification would be a plus!
  • Solid networking knowledge is required (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Cloud computing experience (Azure or AWS) is required.
