Interim Accounting Manager/Controller

Summary: Work on Interim basis for 3-4 months at our Fort Worth HQ to supervise and perform essential accounting, cash management and finance functions for the North American division (U.S. and Canada) of Wind Turbine Field Services. Will be expected to work from our north Fort Worth offices Monday-Friday.

Job Responsibilities

• Interface with local and Group (UK) leadership to ensure accurate and compliant accounting and finance

• Daily monitoring of cash management, receipts and 13-week cash flow forecasting

• Perform daily bank reconciliation in conjunction with daily cash flow projections

• Assist A/R in cash collections, including contacting customers to resolve obstacles to payment

• Supervise and drive discipline of regular A/R and A/P processes

• Manage the monthly closing of the financial books

• Prepare and provide monthly financial statement package, in collaboration with Management Team

• Conduct regular variance analysis

• Work with operations to track unbilled revenue (WIP)

• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports for CFO, CEO and management team

• Assist in the upcoming annual budgeting and forecasting process

• Work closely with Staff Accountant in the management and oversight of general ledger, revenue recognition, journal entries, depreciation schedules, revenue recognition, invoicing, accounts receivable and collections, bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations, and accounts payable

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience

• CPA or CMA a plus

• 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting roles

• 2+ years of experience in a Management or Supervisory role, preferably as Controller or Accounting Manager

• Strong analytical and modeling capabilities

• Exceptional computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel, MS Office, accounting software, and cloud-based databases

• Prefer experience with Sage, SalesForce

• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English fluency

• Ability to work both independently and as a team

• Ability to develop and implement improvements, processes and policies

• Excellent attention to details

• Able to work equally well with subordinates and senior executives
