INTERNAL Senior Loan Workout Officer

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience and five (5) or more years of progressively responsible banking or related agricultural lending experience. Strong work ethic with the ability to work under minimal supervision. Proven success record in outside sales. Knowledgeable in accounting/financial systems and principles. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Advanced analytical skills and oral/written communication.

Essential Functions:

Works alongside experienced lending staff and Special Assets personnel to learn the processes used to execute action plans for the collection and reduction of Special Assets. Assists in working with legal counsel, appraisers, management, and other internal and external resources involved in these activities. Learns to develop and evaluate recommendations related to minimum auction reserves, foreclosure bids, and the disposition of Acquired Property. Participates in negotiations with debtors and prospective buyers under appropriate guidance to develop an understanding of lending and purchasing objectives. Works with and learns to coordinate collection agents, appraisers, service contractors, commission agents/brokers, and other resources, as required, to accomplish defined objectives. Assists with the review and evaluation of private-treaty offers, sales contracts, and other proposed dispositions of Acquired Property and learns the appropriate approval and recommendation processes. Develops knowledge of and works to ensure compliance with FCA regulations, including borrower rights provisions. Extensive travel is required.
