What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Economic & Market Research: support the Macro Research team in monitoring global economic developments, geopolitical events, and financial market trends
• Data Mining & Analysis: gather, organise, and analyse economic, market, and industry data to support research publications and investment views
• Economic Indicators Monitoring: track key economic indicators, policy developments, and market movements across major economies and assess their impact on financial markets
• Financial Modelling & Visualisation: create and maintain charts, models, dashboards, and visual materials that support research findings and market analysis
• Research Publications: assist in the preparation of market commentaries, research reports, presentations, and other thought leadership materials for internal and external stakeholders
• Market Intelligence: consolidate information from news sources, financial databases, and research platforms to support the team's market views and recommendations
• Stakeholder Collaboration: work closely with traders, sales professionals, asset managers, and other stakeholders to support information sharing and research initiatives
• Financial Platforms & Databases: utilise platforms such as Bloomberg, Eikon, CEIC, and other market intelligence tools to gather data and conduct analysis
• Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on thematic research projects, special reports, and other assignments as required

The Macro Research team sits within Global Markets and provides economic and market insights that support clients, traders, sales teams, and senior management in navigating an ever-changing global environment. You'll work alongside experienced economists and strategists who analyse macroeconomic developments, monetary policy trends, and market movements across regions and asset classes. Through this role, you'll gain valuable exposure to how research and market intelligence inform investment and business decisions within a leading financial institution.This is the broad job description of the job profile.
