About this role
Your mission
As part of our Systems Engineering team in Munich, Germany, you will take a central role in the design and coordination of our Dynamic Space Operations roadmap. The role is focused on the early concept phase: surveying the available solutions, deriving concepts, and performing trade-offs. We also offer the opportunity to convert the work into a Master’s thesis, with the exact topic tailored to the candidate’s interests and strengths.
Your role will include:
- Detailed operational analysis of our systems, identifying stakeholders and their needs
- Functional analysis, functional allocation and definition of the physical architecture
- Organising and carrying out all the trade-offs necessary to the justification of the architecture
- Derive system, subsystem and components functional performance requirements
- Support the search for appropriate suppliers
- Support the derivation of adequate development plans
- Defining tests and analyses to ensure the product meets its requirements
- Prepare documentation for the deliverables
- Support with other relevant ad-hoc activities, as necessary
Your profile
- Enrolled in a Master’s or advanced Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Hands-on experience working in student projects is an asset, especially student aerospace projects
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering, especially the Capella Framework, is an asset
- Fluent in English is mandatory, knowledge of German is an asset.
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Proactive, structured approach, and able to work independently as well as in a team
