Your mission

As part of our Orbital Services & Systems Team in Munich, Germany, you will support the team in the planning, tracking, and execution of complex aerospace programmes including orbital refuelling and in-orbit servicing missions. This role offers hands-on exposure in a fast-paced space scale-up. Afterwards, we also offer the opportunity to continue as a working student or to convert the work into a thesis, with the topic tailored to the candidate's interests and strengths.

Your role will include:

  • Support project scheduling, milestone tracking, and progress reporting across active programmes.
  • Maintain and update project management tools, dashboards, and trackers (e.g. Gantt charts, risk registers, requirements trackers).
  • Assist in the preparation and follow-up of programme reviews, kick-off meetings, and customer interactions.
  • Support commercial and administrative tasks including tracking of purchase orders, invoices, and work packages in Odoo.
  • Contribute to designing and implementing programme management processes, templates, and workflows to support a growing team.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of PM processes and the Project Management Handbook.
  • Assist with proposal preparation: work package structuring, schedule development, and costing inputs.
  • Help maintain risk and opportunity registers, and support stakeholder alignment activities.
  • Support resource planning and interface coordination between business stakeholders and engineering teams.


Your profile

  • Enrolled in a Master’s or advanced Bachelor’s programme in Business Administration, Business Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with a structured, detail-oriented working style.
  • First practical experience in project or programme management, gained through internships, working student positions, or university projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with project management or ERP tools is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with data, timelines, and documentation in a technical environment.
  • Familiarity with ECSS or aerospace standards is a plus but not required.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
