Position Summary
The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records within Sage 100 by managing inventory receipts, production consumption, and inventory reconciliations. This role works closely with vendors, contract manufacturers (CMs), warehouses, and internal operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy, timely transaction processing, and resolution of discrepancies.
Location: 3–4 days per week onsite at our NYC headquarters, with the remaining days remote.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Receiving
- Review open purchase orders daily and track pending receipts.
- Coordinate with vendors, contract manufacturers, and warehouses to obtain receiving documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, and receiving reports.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Process inventory receipts accurately and promptly in Sage 100.
- Record finished goods and sub-assembly production builds for non-turnkey items.
- Ensure accurate entry of item numbers, quantities, lot codes, and inventory locations.
Inventory Consumption & Production Support
- Partner with operations and contract manufacturers to track daily production activity.
- Record inventory consumption related to production, rework, and distribution activities.
- Ensure all material usage is accurately issued and recorded in Sage 100.
- Validate inventory consumption against production reports and bill of material (BOM) requirements.
- Investigate and resolve missing or delayed inventory transactions.
Inventory Reconciliation
- Monitor inventory reports for discrepancies, negative balances, and transaction errors.
- Research inventory variances through review of receiving, production, and consumption records.
- Collaborate with vendors, warehouses, and contract manufacturers to resolve discrepancies.
- Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and support inventory adjustment activities.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for all inventory corrections and adjustments.
Process Improvement & Data Integrity
- Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and system data integrity.
- Ensure inventory transactions are supported by appropriate documentation.
- Identify process improvements that reduce inventory errors and improve operational efficiency.
- Drive accountability with external partners to minimize recurring inventory issues.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of inventory control, inventory management, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or related experience, including internships.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems; Sage 100 experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with inventory reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, contract manufacturers, warehouses, and internal teams.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently.

Salary:The anticipated base salary is$67-70kannually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, internal equity, and location.
