Are you an experienced vet nurse or vet tech looking for a new direction? Or perhaps you have a background in inventory, purchasing or supply chain and enjoy keeping things organised behind the scenes.


We're looking for an organised, proactive team player to join our friendly Support Office team in an Inventory Coordinator role.

This role plays an important part in supporting our network of 20 clinics, including The Vet Centre in Northland. Working closely with our clinic teams, you'll help ensure they have the stock, equipment and supplies they need to deliver exceptional care to our patients every day.


About the role

Reporting to the Inventory Team Leader, you'll support the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our inventory systems and processes across the practice.


Your day-to-day will include:


  • Maintaining inventory databases and supporting the ongoing development of inventory systems and processes.
  • Assisting with the procurement and ordering of veterinary supplies, pharmaceuticals and equipment.
  • Supporting stocktake activities, including coordinating rolling stocktakes and investigating discrepancies.
  • Coordinating internal stock transfers and delivery logistics between clinics.
  • Assisting with retail product management and inventory-related projects.
  • Working collaboratively with clinic teams to ensure inventory is accurate, efficient and well managed.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve inventory processes and reduce waste.
  • Providing inventory support to clinics and helping resolve day-to-day inventory queries.


About you

This role would be a great fit for someone with veterinary nursing large animal technician experience who is looking to apply their clinical knowledge in a different way while remaining connected to the profession. It would also suit someone with experience in inventory, purchasing or supply chain who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.


You'll bring:

  • Experience in the veterinary industry, ideally as a veterinary nurse, technician or in a clinic support role (highly regarded).
  • Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across multiple clinics.
  • Confidence using computer systems and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in a variety of tasks.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for helping our clinics operate efficiently.
