IT Ops and CMMC Specialist

Your Impact:

Strengthen Skyward Federal’s security and operational foundation by advancing our CMMC readiness and managing core IT operations. Own and improve critical endpoint, identity, access, and IT management systems, including Jamf and Okta, while partnering with Cyber to implement and sustain the controls required to operate securely and efficiently.

An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this role and there will be regular on-site presence needed in Colorado Springs, CO.

Where You'll Take Charge:

• CMMC Implementation & Sustainment – Partner with Cyber to implement, document, assess, and continuously maintain CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171 requirements, including assessment preparation, evidence collection, control validation, and remediation tracking.

• IT Infrastructure, Identity & Endpoint Management – Administer and optimize Skyward’s IT environment, including Jamf, Okta, endpoint security, device lifecycle management, identity and access controls, networking, and supporting systems.

• Service Delivery & Support – Deliver responsive, high-quality end-user support, troubleshoot IT issues, and continuously improve IT operations, security, and service delivery to ensure reliable daily operations.

• Asset, Vendor & Resource Management – Manage hardware procurement, software licensing, vendor relationships, IT inventory, and lifecycle documentation to maintain operational excellence.

Your Edge:

• Working knowledge of CMMC 2.0, NIST SP 800-171, and DFARS 252.204-7012, including security control implementation, assessment preparation, evidence collection, control validation, and POA&M tracking.

• Hands-on experience administering Jamf Pro, including Apple device enrollment, configuration, application deployment, patching, security policies, and lifecycle management.

• Experience administering Okta or comparable identity and access management platforms, including authentication, MFA, application access, user lifecycle management, and access policy enforcement.

• Strong IT infrastructure and systems administration skills, with experience supporting endpoint management, identity and access management, networking, and enterprise IT environments.

• Experience developing and maintaining IT policies, procedures, security controls, compliance evidence, and organized system documentation.

• Experience managing IT assets, software licensing, vendors, and budgets.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving security and operational reliability.

• Ability to coordinate cross-functional compliance activities and work effectively with Cyber, Operations, and end users.

• Service-oriented approach with strong communication skills and dependable follow-through.

• Experience supporting CMMC assessments, security audits, or federal and defense-related environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with Apple Business Manager, Microsoft 365/Entra ID, Google Workspace, AWS GovCloud, Azure GCC/GCC High, or similar secure enterprise environments is a plus.

• ITIL, ISO 20000, or related IT service management experience is a plus.
