IT Systems Administrator - Night Shift

SRM Concrete is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Systems Administrator to join our team in a full-time night shift position. This role is crucial for maintaining the backbone of our company’s technology, ensuring our systems are secure, efficient, and reliable as we continue to grow into a national leader in the ready-mix industry. Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Provide overnight technical support, responding to calls and tickets involving hardware, software, applications, and network connectivity.
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations, servers, and peripheral devices across the organization.
• Manage and support core network infrastructure, including VPN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and SonicWall firewalls.
• Administer Active Directory and Group Policy to manage user access and ensure system security.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues, escalating to the appropriate teams as needed.
• Proactively maintain system health through patching, updates, and data backup procedures.
• Provide clear technical guidance and support to users.
• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and outstanding issues to ensure clear handoffs to the daytime IT team.
• Perform scheduled overnight maintenance and coordinate with the on-call SysAdmin for escalations and additional support.
• Assist with team projects, including system upgrades, deployments, and other IT initiatives.
• Travel to company sites as needed to perform additional on-site troubleshooting and replace hardware.

What Sets You Apart

• Proven experience in an IT systems and/or network support role.
• In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems, network architecture, and security protocols.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• A self-starter with outstanding time-management abilities who can work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
• Hands-on experience with Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, VMware, Dell hardware, and SonicWall is highly desired.
• IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or CCNA, are a significant advantage.
• Availability to work the required overnight schedule and attend daytime training during the initial onboarding period.
