The Janitor / Commercial Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and professional environment. Duties may include the following:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, counters, and other assigned areas.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, counters, partitions, and fixtures.
• Refill restroom supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and other supplies, as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
• Clean break rooms and kitchen areas, including sinks, counters, tables, and exterior surfaces of appliances as assigned.
• Clean offices, conference rooms, reception areas, hallways, entrances, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Clean interior glass doors, windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces as assigned.
• Remove fingerprints, smudges, dust, and visible dirt from doors, walls, light switches, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Dust baseboards, windowsills, vents, ledges, and other surfaces.
• Spot-clean walls and doors as needed.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas.
• Maintain floors according to the requirements of each facility.
• Remove cobwebs and maintain corners and hard-to-reach areas.
• Properly use cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, vacuums, mops, and other cleaning equipment.
• Keep janitorial closets and cleaning equipment clean and organized.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance problems, spills, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to the supervisor.
• Follow company safety procedures and client-specific cleaning requirements.
• Complete assigned cleaning duties within the scheduled time.
• Perform additional janitorial duties as assigned.

Requirements

Janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred, but training may be provided.

Applicants should be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning instructions and safety procedures.

Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks. The position may also require lifting and carrying cleaning supplies, trash bags, and equipment.
