The Garmin Dive app is essentially the ultimate diving companion application featuring a digital logbook and community platform designed for scuba divers and free divers and it’s built to pair seamlessly with Garmin’s ** Descent** series and other compatible watches.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance software solutions for Garmin Dive Application
• Apply software engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Understand business needs and translate them to technical solutions.
• Add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.
• Help ensure resiliency and high availability of the applications owned by your team.
• Help set up monitoring for the new features being developed.
• Troubleshoot software issues.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Java and OOP principles.
• Proven experience in designing, enhancing and developing complex Java microservices using Spring Boot (experience in cloud-native application development is a plus).
• Strong understanding of Spring Framework.
• Good knowledge of web services (REST).
• Knowledgeable about relational or non-relational databases.
• Good knowledge of unit testing.
• Good understanding of design patterns.
• Good usage skills of development tools (source control, development environment, issue tracking).
• Good knowledge of building tools and continuous delivery.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
