JB080 - Live-in Nanny - Sands Point, NY

Overview

A professional family is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their children, with light family assistant duties layered in during school hours. The children are ages 6 and 3.

The schedule is built around approximately 45-50 hours per week, structured to cover morning drop-off support, child related household tasks during school hours, and after-school through evening childcare. The family is looking for someone interested in a long-term, trusted role with the household.

Responsibilities

• Full childcare coverage before and after school, including engaging children in age-appropriate activities

• Morning support: helping kids get ready, prepping lunch, assisting with drop-off

• During school hours: light tidying of common areas, family and kids' laundry (2x per week), making beds, kitchen tidy-up

• Running errands, grocery shopping, dry cleaning drop-off/pickup

• Managing outside cleaners when they come to the home

• Assisting with kid-related projects (birthday party prep, gift wrapping, research)

• Evening: getting children ready for bed, keeping kitchen and common areas tidy

• Occasional travel with the family

Qualifications

• Professional nanny experience required

• Newborn care experience strongly preferred (a plus)

• Willing to complete newborn care/CPR training if not already certified (family will cover cost)

• Comfortable with light household tidying — not deep cleaning

• Organized, proactive, and able to work independently during school hours

• Positive, family-oriented, flexible in a busy household

• Interested in a long-term placement

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a private household

• Valid US work authorization

• Strong verifiable references

• Valid Driver's License with great driving record

• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Salary and Benefits

• $100,000 plus per year
