JLR ADAS Hardware Engineer

Overview

The purpose of this role is to coordinate the design, development, testing and introduction of components or commodities . The role requires the individual to deliver the commodity plan to quality, cost and time and lead on the technical content and integrity of specific components and systems across specific programmes

Responsibilities

As HW senior Engineer the main responsibilities will be related to progress the HW development of ADAS modules and support issues resolution. In general terms these responsibilities can be summarized as follows:Deliver the commodity plan to quality, cost and time, including maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release SystemOwn and deliver the Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning deliverablesManage Change Request, expenditure forecasting and the relevant supplier teams in support of delivery of the programme milestonesManage component level/Integration test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign off and support Engineering test teams with rectification of issuesResolve issues with component engineering and vehicle attribute teams to develop designs that meet targetsEnsure all appropriate JLR standards are met through-out design maturationProvide input into new feature developmentEnsure all programme design solutions meet:-Programme targets for cost and weight-Legal regulations and Requirements Management & Design Verification documentation-Optical Quality and Premium Consumer Product Audit requirementsKeep all Module documentation up to date including:-Meeting minutes-Foundation and Programme Design analysis documents-Quality history and bill of designUndertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Qualifications

Previous experience on HW design for automotiveAnalog and Digital DesignSchematic and Layout design experienceElectronic InstrumentationDesign for EMC and testing experienceA good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition and change management processesIssue resolution experience (8D analysis process and experience in camera testing and issue investigation in electronic components)DFMEA/FMEDA experience

Previous experience related with optical lab and instruments

Image Quality and optical knowledgeADAS broader knowledge (Development of other automotive components)Supplier Management / eAPQP process / Camera production deep understanding
